Looking for a toddler table and chair rental in NJ? Our toddler sets are sized for ages 1 to 3, with tables about 15 inches tall and seats about 7 inches off the floor, and every order is delivered, set up and picked up for you.
A toddler party has one problem every parent recognizes: the children are the shortest people in the room and the furniture was made for everyone else. A two-year-old at a regular kids' table eats at chin height. At the grown-ups' table she is on a lap, and on the floor the cake is at eye level and gone in a minute. The fix is a table built to toddler scale. Mini Chairs Atelier rents toddler tables and chairs across New Jersey, sized to the ages of your guests, and every order includes delivery, full setup and next-day pickup. You tell us the date and the ages; we bring furniture that fits.
Why toddlers need their own size
Children's furniture is made in narrow height bands, and the toddler band is the one most often skipped. For ages 1 to 3 the table is about 15 inches tall and the seat about 7 inches off the floor. The gap between the top of the seat and the underside of the table is what matters: about 5 to 6 inches lets a small arm reach the plate without stretching, and keeps knees from hitting the apron. Feet flat on the floor is the second check. A toddler whose feet dangle fidgets, and fidgeting at a table of full cups ends the way you expect. If you want the full chart, our guide to kids' table and chair heights by age walks through every size we carry and how to measure what you already own.
The practical payoff is simple. At a table that fits, toddlers sit longer, eat more of the lunch and less of the frosting, and stay in one place for the photographs. Parents get ten minutes with a coffee. It is the single rental that changes how a toddler party feels.
What's in a toddler set
- Toddler-height tables — low tables for ages 1 to 3. Small groups fit one table; larger guest lists get a row of them or a mix with the next size up. Tables can be matched to your theme on request.
- Little chairs — the lowest seat in each of our collections, Essential, Classic and Atelier Rattan, so the chairs suit the party your planner is styling. The rattan chairs are the ones most first-birthday families ask for by name.
- A kids' high chair for the birthday baby, so the one-year-old sits with the other children rather than off to the side. See where the birthday baby sits for the layout that photographs best.
- A dessert cart, optional — the dessert cart keeps the cake and the smash cake at a height toddlers can see and parents can supervise.
Everything arrives clean and checked, is placed and leveled by us, and is collected the next day. For the general range of sizes, including preschool and school-age sets, see our main kids' table and chair rentals page.
Mixed ages at one table
Almost every toddler birthday has a spread: the birthday child's little friends, a four-year-old cousin, an older sibling who insists on sitting with the babies. You have two good options and we set up either one. The first is to size the table to the largest group and bring a high chair or the smallest chairs for the youngest. The second, when the ages split cleanly, is two tables at two heights, side by side, so the three-year-olds and the six-year-olds each have a table that fits. When you ask for a quote, list the ages rather than just the headcount and we will suggest the mix.
Where a toddler table goes
Toddler tables have the smallest footprint of anything we rent, which is why they work in places a long kids' table will not. We set them up in living rooms and playrooms, on apartment terraces in Hoboken and Jersey City, in backyards from Monmouth County to Bergen County, in party rooms and at venues that have never hosted a children's table before. For an apartment or a brownstone, tell us about the stairs or the elevator and we plan the load-in. For a backyard, we level the table on the grass or the patio so cups stay upright. For a venue, we coordinate the delivery window with the event manager. Our small-space party guide and the backyard party guide cover the rest of the layout.
Parties toddler sets are made for
- First birthdays — the birthday baby in the high chair, the toddler guests at a low table beside her. Our first birthday party rentals page covers the full setup, including the smash-cake moment.
- Second and third birthdays at home, when the guest list is six to ten little ones and their parents.
- Baby showers and sip-and-sees where the older siblings need a table of their own while the grown-ups visit.
- Holiday tables — a toddler table at Thanksgiving or Hanukkah keeps the littlest cousins seated while dinner is served.
- Playdates and daycare celebrations that want something sturdier and prettier than folding furniture for an afternoon.
Toddler tables for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving and the holidays
The littlest cousins are the hardest guests to seat at a holiday dinner: too small for the kids' table, too busy for a lap. A toddler table beside the kids' table gives them a place of their own, with the high chair pulled up for the baby. For Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26) we deliver and set up before the holiday and pick up after the long weekend, so the same table covers a Friendsgiving or the Saturday visit at the same address. In December the same set works for Hanukkah, Christmas and a Noon Year's Eve party. Code THANKS10 takes 10% off through November 30, and Hold My Date sets the date aside while we finalize your quote.
How it works
- Send the date, the address and the ages of the children. Count the kids, not the families, and add a seat or two for the friend who was not on the list.
- We confirm availability and send a quote by text or email, with the sizes we recommend. If you want the date set aside while you decide, you can hold your date online.
- We deliver and set up before the party: tables placed and leveled, chairs set, high chair in position, ready for your planner's balloons and backdrop.
- We pick everything up the next day. Nothing for you to wipe, fold or carry.
Our step-by-step guide to how a rental works covers what happens between your planner's first call and pickup.
We rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts. Your planner — or you — handles the balloons, backdrop, florals and decor. We work alongside any planner, tent or catering vendor you have already booked.
Where we deliver in New Jersey

How far ahead to book
Three to four weeks is comfortable for most dates. Weekend afternoons in spring and fall, and December, book first. If your date is close, ask anyway — toddler sets are small, and we often have weekday and short-notice openings.

How do I rent a toddler table and chairs?
Send your party date, town and the number of children through the quote form or by text. We confirm availability and send your quote, and on the day we deliver, set up and level the toddler tables and chairs, then pick everything up the next day.
Do you rent toddler tables and chairs in New York too?
Yes. We deliver toddler tables and chairs across New Jersey and New York, with setup and next-day pickup included. For older guests, see the height chart by age or our kids table and chair rentals.
What size table and chairs do toddlers need?
Children aged 1 to 3 need the lowest size made: a table about 15 inches tall with a seat about 7 inches off the floor. The gap between seat and tabletop should be 5 to 6 inches so small arms reach the plate without stretching. Our toddler sets are built to that size.
Can toddlers and older kids sit at the same table?
Yes. If your guest list spans ages we mix seat heights at one table, or set two tables at two heights when the ages split cleanly. Tell us the ages when you ask for a quote and we size the set for you.
Do you have a high chair for the birthday baby?
Yes. A kids' high chair for the one-year-old can be added to any toddler table set, so the birthday baby sits at the head of the table with the other children instead of off to the side.
Is delivery and setup included in a toddler table rental?
Yes. Every rental includes delivery, full setup and next-day pickup anywhere we serve in New Jersey and New York. We place and level the tables and set the chairs; you don't carry, wipe or stack anything.
Can you set up a toddler table in an apartment or a small backyard?
Yes. Toddler tables are the smallest footprint we rent, which makes them the natural choice for apartments, playrooms and small yards. Tell us about stairs or an elevator when you request your quote and we plan the load-in around it.
Can I rent a toddler table for Thanksgiving?
Yes. We deliver and set up the toddler table, little chairs and a high chair before Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26) and pick up after the long weekend, so the youngest cousins have their own seats for the whole holiday.
Do you decorate the toddler table?
No. We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts and set up the furniture. The balloons, backdrop, linens and place settings come from you or your planner.
Can I hold my date before the quote is final?
Yes. Hold My Date sets your date aside while we finalize your quote, and the hold is credited toward your rental.
