Kids' Table & Chair Rentals in Great Neck, Manhasset & Roslyn, NY
Great Neck, Manhasset and Roslyn host some of the biggest family tables on Long Island, and the next month is the busiest of the year for them: Thanksgiving, a Friendsgiving with the kids, then the winter birthdays that move indoors. Here is how North Shore families give the youngest guests a table and chairs their own size.
The North Shore of Nassau is a short run from our Long Island routes, and Great Neck, Manhasset and Roslyn sit close enough together that one delivery day often covers all three. Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving for three generations, a Friendsgiving where every couple brings two children, or a first birthday in January, the children are the part of the guest list that needs a plan, because a five-year-old on a grown-up dining chair is a five-year-old eating with her plate at shoulder height.
That is the one thing we do. We rent kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver them, set them up before your guests arrive and pick them up afterward. If you already know the date, you can hold your date now and send the guest count later. We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs and dessert carts. Place settings, decor and food come from your family or your planner.
Where we deliver on the North Shore
Great Neck and Great Neck Plaza, Kings Point, Great Neck Estates and Lake Success; Manhasset, Plandome and Munsey Park; Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, East Hills and Greenvale; and on to Port Washington, Sands Point and Old Westbury. The whole island is on our Long Island kids' party rentals page; this guide is the closer look at the North Shore of Nassau. Also on the North Shore, a little further east in Suffolk: our Huntington, Dix Hills & Melville guide. Planning on the South Shore instead? See the Five Towns guide or the Merrick, Bellmore & Massapequa guide.
We set up in houses, apartments, finished basements and venues. On the North Shore that ranges from a center-hall colonial in Manhasset to an elevator building in Great Neck Plaza; wherever it is, the furniture is in place before the first guest rings the bell.
Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving kids' tables on the North Shore
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. In a house full of cousins, the kids' table is what lets the grown-up table stay a grown-up table: the children get their own place at their own height, and the adults get to finish a sentence. We deliver and set up before the holiday and pick up after the long weekend, so one delivery covers a Friendsgiving at the same address, the Friday leftovers and the Saturday cousins' visit too.
- A long dining room. Set a low table at the end of the room, so the children stay in sight of the grown-up table but are not underfoot.
- An open kitchen and family room. A kids' table near the kitchen island keeps refills and spills close to a parent.
- A smaller apartment. A narrow table against the longest wall leaves room to walk, and two small tables often fit better than one long one.
- The littlest cousins. Toddlers do best at their own lower table, next to a parent; the birthday-baby-sized guest gets the Isabella rattan high chair, so she sits at the same height as everyone else. The toddler table and chairs page has the sizes for ages one to three.
Our big-family Thanksgiving seating plan works out how many tables you need by age, and the Thanksgiving kids' table rental page covers delivery times and what to ask for. Book your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving kids' table with code THANKS10 for 10% off through November 30.
Indoor winter birthdays: houses, apartments and party rooms
From December on, North Shore birthdays move inside, and the room sets the plan. One long kids' table along the longest wall seats eight to ten children and leaves the middle of a living room open for games. A finished basement takes two tables in an L or a U-shape for fifteen to twenty children, with a dessert cart at the foot of the stairs. Our indoor winter birthday party ideas guide has room-by-room layouts and activities that work at kid height.
Hosting in an apartment building or a co-op? Tell us about the elevator, the loading entrance and any delivery hours the building sets. Many buildings and rented party rooms ask for a certificate of insurance; we provide one, and processing commonly takes five to ten business days, so ask for the building's requirements the day you book. Our delivery and setup checklist lists everything worth measuring before the day. Hanukkah begins the evening of Friday, December 4; the Hanukkah kids' party rentals page covers a cousins' night at the kids' table.
What you can rent
- Kid-height tables — the Mini Scalloped Oval Table, the Serpentine Table, the Modern White Kids Table, the Farm Mini Table and the Daisy Table. Tables can be customized on request to match a color or a theme.
- Children's chairs — the Bow Metal Chair, the white Classic Chair, clear Ghost Chairs, the natural-wood Cross Back Chair, the Mini Bistro Chair, the Amelia chair in the photo above and the Atelier Rattan collection: the Bow, Rainbow, Loop and Round chairs.
- High chairs — the Isabella rattan high chair for the youngest guest. The first birthday party rentals page walks through the high chair, the low table and the photo corner.
- Dessert carts — a kids' dessert cart for the pies, the cupcakes or the cocoa you or your planner bring.
Every rental includes delivery, setup and pickup. The main kids' table and chair rentals page has every collection in one place.
How many chairs to book
Count the children who will sit — usually ages one to ten — and add two extra seats for the cousins nobody counted. Up to about ten children fit at one long kids' table; ten to twenty work well in a row or a U-shape; above twenty, split the tables by age so the toddlers are not seated next to the ten-year-olds. The full method is in our how many kids' chairs and tables guide.
How booking works
- Tell us the date, the town and the number of children. A quick quote request is enough to start.
- Choose the tables and chairs. A table sized to your room, the chairs that suit your colors, a high chair or a dessert cart if you want one.
- We deliver and set up before your guests arrive — house, apartment, basement or party room.
- We pick everything up afterward; for Thanksgiving, after the long weekend.
The days just before Thanksgiving and the December weekends book first. If your date is one of them, a date hold keeps it while you finish the guest list — the hold is credited toward the rental.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver kids' tables and chairs to Great Neck, Manhasset and Roslyn?
Yes. We deliver, set up and pick up kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts in Great Neck, Kings Point, Lake Success, Manhasset, Plandome, Munsey Park, Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, East Hills, Port Washington, Sands Point and the rest of the North Shore of Nassau County. Delivery, setup and pickup are part of every rental.
When do you deliver and pick up for Thanksgiving?
We deliver and set up before Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, and pick up after the holiday weekend, so the same kids' table and chairs work for Friday leftovers, a Friendsgiving or the Saturday cousins' visit at the same address. The days just before the holiday fill up first, so send your date early.
Can you deliver to an apartment building or a co-op?
Yes. Tell us about the elevator, the loading entrance and any delivery hours the building sets. Many apartment buildings, condo boards and rented venues ask for a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured. We provide one; ask for the building's exact requirements the day you book, because processing commonly takes five to ten business days.
Do you have a high chair and toddler-size tables for the littlest cousins?
Yes. We carry a rattan high chair, the Isabella, so the youngest guest sits at the same height as everyone else, and lower tables and chairs sized for ages one to three. Tell us the children's ages when you ask for a quote and we'll suggest the right mix.
Do you decorate or style the party?
No. We're not the party planners. We rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver, set them up and pick them up. Place settings, decor and food come from your family or your planner.
