Kids' Table & Chair Rentals in Merrick, Bellmore & Massapequa
Merrick, Bellmore and Massapequa throw a lot of parties at home — backyards, finished basements, a dining room cleared for the cousins. Here is how South Shore families give the little guests a table and chairs their own size, from a fall first birthday to the Halloween party weekend.
On the South Shore, the party usually comes to the house. A fall birthday on the back lawn, a first birthday in the living room, a Sunday with three generations around the dining table. The grown-ups sort themselves out. The children are the part that needs a plan, because a two-year-old on a folding chair is a two-year-old who is about to climb down.
That is the one thing we do. We rent kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver them, set them up before your guests arrive and pick them up afterward — across Merrick, North Merrick, Bellmore, North Bellmore, Massapequa and Massapequa Park, and the rest of Long Island. If you already know the date, you can hold your date now and send the guest count later.
Where we deliver on the South Shore
Merrick and North Merrick, Bellmore and North Bellmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Massapequa Park, plus the neighboring villages along the same routes. Most of what we set here is at home: a backyard, a covered patio, a finished basement or a living room with the coffee table pushed aside. We also set up in party rooms and restaurant rooms when that is where the celebration is. Wherever it is, the furniture is in place before the first guest rings the bell, and it is gone the next day.
What you can rent
- Kid-height tables — one long table for a row of children, or two smaller tables when the room is narrow. Tables can be customized on request to match a color or a theme.
- Children's chairs in three collections — Essential, Classic and Rattan Kids' Chair Rental. Clear ghost chairs (like the ones above) disappear into any color scheme; rattan looks warm on a lawn in October.
- High chairs for the birthday baby — see where the birthday baby sits for the layout.
- Dessert carts — the cart is ours; the cake, cookies or caramel apples come from you or your baker. The dessert cart rental page shows the options.
We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs and dessert carts. The balloons, backdrop, florals and food come from your family or the planner you have booked, and we are happy to set up alongside them.
Fall festival weekend and the Halloween party weekend
The last full weekend of October is a busy one on the South Shore this year. The Merrick Fall Fest runs Friday to Sunday, October 23–25, and with Halloween itself falling on a Saturday, October 24–25 is the weekend most families have picked for the kids' costume party. That means a lot of Saturday and Sunday afternoon parties on the same two days.
If yours is one of them, two things help:
- Book the table early. Our weekends in late October go first. Send your date and the number of children now, even if the theme is still undecided.
- Plan the timing around the festival. A morning festival visit and an afternoon party at home works well for little ones: the kids come back tired and happy, sit down at their own table for pizza and cupcakes, and the costume parade happens in the backyard.
For toddlers and first birthdays, a soft, not-scary version of Halloween is the setup most parents ask us about this month — pastel pumpkins, friendly ghosts, nothing that jumps out. Our not-scary Halloween kids' table guide walks through it, and the Halloween party rentals page covers the bigger-kid version.
How many chairs and tables to book
Count the children who will actually sit — usually ages one to ten. Babies stay on laps, and older kids often drift to the grown-ups. Then add two seats, because a cousin always brings a friend.
- Up to 10 children: one long kids' table, or two smaller ones pushed together, keeps everyone in one scene for the cake.
- 10 to 20 children: a long row of tables or a U-shape in the backyard. In a basement, two parallel tables usually fit better than one long one.
- 20 or more: separate tables by age, so the toddlers have their own lower, calmer table and the big kids have room for a craft.
Our how many kids' chairs and tables guide has the full by-age breakdown, and the kids' table and chair rentals page explains sizes. If you are not sure, send us the guest count and a photo of the space and we will suggest the setup.
A fall birthday at home in Merrick or Bellmore
October and early November are lovely for a backyard birthday here: cool enough that nobody wilts, still light enough for an afternoon party. A few things families tell us work well:
- Put the kids' table where the grown-ups can see it. On a deck or a patio, the children's table goes in the middle, not in the corner.
- Give them something to do at the table. Mini pumpkin painting, a coloring runner or a decorate-your-own-cookie station turns the table into the activity.
- Have a rain plan. Kid-height tables fit in a finished basement or a two-car garage; we can set up indoors instead if the weather turns.
Planning a first birthday? The first birthday party rentals page covers the high chair, the smash-cake moment and how many little seats to add for the baby's friends.
How it works
- Send your date and child count through the quote form, or hold your date online.
- Pick the table and chairs. Essential, Classic or Atelier Rattan chairs, a table sized to your space, a high chair or a dessert cart if you want one.
- We deliver and set up before your guests arrive — backyard, basement, living room or party room.
- We pick everything up afterward, so the house is yours again.
May, June, September and October weekends book first on Long Island. If your party is on one of them, a date hold is the easiest way to keep it while you finish the guest list — the hold is credited toward the rental.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver kids' tables and chairs to Merrick, Bellmore and Massapequa?
Yes. We deliver, set up and pick up kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts in Merrick, North Merrick, Bellmore, North Bellmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Massapequa Park, and across the rest of Long Island. Delivery, setup and pickup are part of every rental.
Do you have kids' tables for the Halloween party weekend, October 24–25?
Yes, but that weekend books early this year because Halloween falls on a Saturday and the Merrick Fall Fest runs the same weekend. Send your date and the number of children now to hold a table.
Can you set up in a backyard or a finished basement?
Yes. Most South Shore parties we set are at home — on a lawn, a patio, a deck, in a finished basement or a living room. We set everything before your guests arrive and collect it afterward.
How many kids' chairs do I need for a fall birthday?
Count the children who will sit — usually ages one to ten — and add two extra seats. Up to ten children fit at one long kids' table; ten to twenty work well in a row or U-shape; above twenty, split the tables by age.
Do you do the decorations or party styling?
No. We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver, set up and pick them up. Decor, balloons and food come from your family or your planner.
