Kids' Table & Chair Rentals in Fort Lee, Edgewater & Cliffside Park, NJ
Fort Lee, Edgewater and Cliffside Park sit on top of the Palisades, and a lot of their parties happen in a high-rise living room, a building party room or a townhouse with the George Washington Bridge out the window. Here is how families there give the youngest guests a table and chairs their own size, from Thanksgiving with the cousins to Hanukkah and the indoor winter birthdays after it.
The Hudson River side of Bergen County books a little differently from the rest of the county. More families live in apartments and condos, more parties happen on a weekday afternoon in a building party room, and the delivery plan starts with a phone call to the building manager rather than a look at the driveway. The children are still the part of the guest list that needs a plan, because a four-year-old on a grown-up dining chair is a four-year-old with a plate on her lap.
That is the one thing we do. We rent kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver them, set them up before your guests arrive and pick them up afterward. If you already know your date, you can hold your date now and send the guest count later. We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs and dessert carts. Decor, balloons and food come from your family or your planner.
Where we deliver along the Palisades
Fort Lee, Edgewater, Cliffside Park, Palisades Park, Englewood Cliffs, Leonia, Ridgefield, Fairview and the North Bergen side of the cliffs. The whole county is on our Bergen County kids' party rentals page; this guide is the closer look at the river towns. Just up the hill in Teaneck or Englewood? See the Teaneck & Englewood guide. South along the river in Weehawken, Hoboken or Jersey City? That's our Hudson County kids' party rentals page.
We set up in high-rise apartments, building party rooms and lounges, townhouses, houses with a finished basement, and restaurants or venues with a private room. Wherever it is, the furniture is in place before the first guest arrives.
High-rise parties: COI, freight elevators and the loading dock
Most of the towers along Palisade Avenue, River Road and the Edgewater waterfront have the same three rules, and they are easy once you know them:
- Certificate of insurance (COI). Many buildings ask every delivery company for one. Ask your building manager for their requirements the day you book — processing often takes five to ten business days — and we supply the certificate.
- A freight elevator window. Reserve the service elevator for the delivery and for the pickup. Tell us the window and we plan the route around it.
- The loading dock or side entrance. Let us know where trucks are allowed to stop and which door the doorman will expect us at.
Building party rooms are often booked for a set block of hours. We set up inside your reservation and take everything back down when it ends, so you aren't breaking down tables while the guests are saying goodbye. Our delivery and setup checklist lists what to measure and ask about before the day.
Thanksgiving kids' tables in Fort Lee and Edgewater
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. In an apartment full of cousins, the kids' table is what lets the grown-up table stay a grown-up table — and in a smaller space it matters even more, because the children need a spot that isn't the sofa. We deliver and set up before the holiday and pick up after it, at times that suit your building's elevator rules.
- How many per table. Plan four to six children per table. The Daisy Table is 36 inches wide and seats five; the Mini Scalloped Oval Table seats a longer row.
- The littlest cousins. A toddler table and chairs keeps the one- to three-year-olds at their own height, and the Isabella high chair brings the baby right up to the table.
- Small rooms. A narrow table along the window wall leaves room to walk; the big-family Thanksgiving seating plan works out how many tables you need by age.
- Friendsgiving too. If you're hosting Friendsgiving the weekend before, ask about keeping the same setup for both.
Use code THANKS10 for 10% off through November 30, and HOLIDAY10 for 10% off from December 1 through January 5. The Thanksgiving kids' table rental page has the rest of the holiday details.
Indoor winter birthdays and Hanukkah
The clocks went back on Sunday, November 1, and by four-thirty it's dark over the river. From now until spring, birthdays here move indoors: a living room with the coffee table pushed aside, a building party room, a finished basement in a Cliffside Park or Palisades Park house. One long kids' table along the longest wall seats eight to ten children and keeps the cake and the crafts off the sofa. Hanukkah begins the evening of Friday, December 4, and a low table for the cousins makes a night of latkes, dreidels and gelt easier on everyone. Our indoor winter birthday party ideas guide has room-by-room layouts.
What you can rent
- Kid-height tables — the Mini Scalloped Oval Table, the Serpentine Table, the Modern White Kids Table, the Farm Mini Table and the Daisy Table. Tables can be customized on request to match a color or a theme.
- Children's chairs — the white Classic Chair, the Bow Metal Chair, the natural-wood Cross Back Chair, clear Ghost Chairs (other colors on request), the Mini Bistro Chair and our rattan chairs: the Bow, Round, Loop and Rainbow chairs, plus the Amelia chairs in the photo above.
- High chairs for the birthday baby — the first birthday party rentals page walks through the high chair, the low table and the photo corner.
- Dessert carts — a kids' dessert cart for the cake, pies or cocoa you or your planner bring.
The main kids' table and chair rentals page has every collection in one place.
How many chairs to book
Count the children who will sit — usually ages one to ten — and add two extra seats for the cousins nobody counted. Up to about ten children fit at one long kids' table; ten to twenty work well in a row or an L, which suits most party rooms; above twenty, split the tables by age so the toddlers aren't seated next to the ten-year-olds. The full method is in our how many kids' chairs and tables guide.
How booking works
- Tell us the date, the town, the building and the number of children. A quick quote request is enough to start.
- Check your building's rules. COI, elevator window, loading dock — we'll help with the paperwork.
- We deliver and set up before your guests arrive.
- We pick everything up afterward.
Thanksgiving week and the December weekends book first. If your party is on one of those dates, a date hold is the easiest way to keep it while you finish the guest list — the hold is credited toward the rental.

My building needs a certificate of insurance. Can you provide one?
Yes. Most high-rise buildings along the Hudson ask for a certificate of insurance, and many also want a reserved freight elevator window or a loading dock time. Ask your building manager for the requirements the day you book, since processing often takes five to ten business days, and we supply the certificate.
Can you deliver for Thanksgiving?
Yes. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. We set the kids' table up before the holiday and pick it up after, at times that work for your building. We deliver 365 days a year. Use code THANKS10 for 10% off through November 30.
How many children fit at one kids' table?
Plan four to six children per table, depending on the table and their ages. The Daisy Table is 36 inches wide and seats five. For a long row of cousins, the Mini Scalloped Oval Table or two tables side by side work well. Add a toddler table and a high chair for the youngest guests.
Do you decorate or style the party?
No. We're not the party planners. We rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver, set them up and pick them up. Decor, balloons and food come from your family or your planner.
