Kids' Table & Chair Rentals in Edison, Highland Park & Middlesex County
Edison, Highland Park and the towns around them throw a lot of parties at home — a backyard in Metuchen, a finished basement in East Brunswick, a living room cleared for the cousins. Here is how Middlesex County families give the little guests a table and chairs their own size, from the Halloween party weekend to the NJEA long weekend.
Central New Jersey is home territory for us. We drive these roads every week, which means shorter lead times than most of our service area and, more often than not, room for a late booking. If you are planning a birthday, a first birthday or a holiday get-together anywhere from Edison to East Brunswick, the children are the part of the guest list that needs a plan — because a three-year-old on a grown-up folding chair is a three-year-old who is about to climb down.
That is the one thing we do. We rent kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver them, set them up before your guests arrive and pick them up afterward. If you already know the date, you can hold your date now and send the guest count later. We're not the party planners — we rent the kids' tables, chairs and dessert carts. Decor, balloons and food come from your family or your planner.
Where we deliver in Middlesex County
Edison, Highland Park, Metuchen, East Brunswick, North Brunswick, Piscataway, Woodbridge, Old Bridge, Monroe and South Brunswick, plus the neighboring towns along the same routes. Middlesex is one of the three counties on our Ocean, Middlesex & Union County page; this guide is the closer look at the Edison and Highland Park side of it. Heading toward Princeton instead? See the Princeton & Mercer County guide.
Most of what we set in these towns is at home: a backyard or a deck, a covered patio, a finished basement, a dining room with the table pushed to the wall, or an apartment living room where every foot of floor counts. We also set up in party rooms, community rooms and restaurant rooms when that is where the celebration is. Wherever it is, the furniture is in place before the first guest arrives, and it is gone afterward.
What you can rent
- Kid-height tables — one long table for a row of children, or two smaller tables when the room is narrow. Tables can be customized on request to match a color or a theme.
- Children's chairs in three collections — Essential, Classic and Rattan Kids' Chair Rental. Pink rattan like the chairs above is a favorite for first birthdays; natural wood and clear chairs suit a fall or Halloween table.
- High chairs for the birthday baby — see where the birthday baby sits for how to place one.
- Dessert carts — a kids' dessert cart for the cake, the cupcakes or a fall treat bar your planner styles.
Every rental includes delivery, setup and pickup. For a first birthday, the first birthday party rentals page walks through the high chair, the low table and the photo corner; for ages one to three, the toddler table and chairs page has the sizes.
NJEA weekend parties in Edison and Highland Park
The NJEA convention closes most New Jersey public schools on Thursday, November 5 and Friday, November 6, 2026 — a four-day stretch through Sunday, November 8. For Middlesex County families it is one of the easiest weekends of the fall to throw a birthday: the children are home, the guests' children are home, and nothing else competes for the date.
Because we are open 365 days a year, a Thursday or Friday delivery in Edison, Metuchen or Highland Park is usually simple to add. A weekday party also means a quieter setup morning: we arrive, set the kids' tables and chairs, and are gone long before the first guest. Calendars vary by district, so check your school's before you send invitations. More ideas for using the break are in our long-weekend birthday party guide.
The Halloween party weekend, October 24–25
With Halloween on a Saturday this year, many families are hosting the weekend before, on October 24 and 25, and keeping the 31st for trick-or-treating. That weekend fills up early. A kids' table makes a costume party easier in a practical way: little guests in capes and wings sit down to eat instead of balancing plates on their laps. Our Halloween party rentals page has the not-scary options for toddlers and the fall colors that suit older kids.
First time hosting? What to rent and what to leave to your planner
If this is your first party at home, keep the jobs separate and the day gets simpler. Here is what we would tell any first-time host in Edison or Highland Park:
- Rent the seating. Kid-height tables and chairs, a high chair for the baby and, if you want one, a dessert cart. These are the pieces that are hard to borrow and awkward to store.
- Leave the styling to your planner. Balloons, backdrops, florals, linens and the dessert table itself are your planner's work. Tell them the furniture is coming and they will style around it.
- Book the kids' table early. It is the one thing every other decision hangs on — how much space you need, where the cake goes, how many children you can seat.
- Plan one activity at the table. Coloring placemats, a mini-pumpkin painting station or a bead bracelet station keeps the table busy while the grown-ups talk.
We wrote a whole guide for this: first time hosting a kids' party in NJ — what to rent and what to leave to your planner.
How many chairs and tables to book
Count the children who will sit — usually ages one to ten — and add two extra seats for the cousins who arrive unannounced. Up to about ten children fit at one long kids' table; ten to twenty work well in a row or a U-shape; above twenty, split the tables by age so the toddlers are not seated next to the ten-year-olds. The full method, with layouts for small rooms, is in our how many kids' chairs and tables guide.
How booking works
- Tell us the date, the town and the number of children. A quick quote request is enough to start.
- Choose the tables and chairs. Essential, Classic or Atelier Rattan chairs, a table sized to your space, a high chair or a dessert cart if you want one.
- We deliver and set up before your guests arrive — backyard, basement, living room or party room.
- We pick everything up afterward, so the house is yours again.
Fall weekends book first, and the NJEA break is already on many families' calendars. If your party is on one of those dates, a date hold is the easiest way to keep it while you finish the guest list — the hold is credited toward the rental.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver kids' tables and chairs to Edison and Highland Park?
Yes. We deliver, set up and pick up kid-height tables, children's chairs, high chairs and dessert carts in Edison, Highland Park, Metuchen, East Brunswick, North Brunswick, Piscataway, Woodbridge and the rest of Middlesex County. Delivery, setup and pickup are part of every rental.
Can you deliver on the NJEA days, November 5 and 6?
Usually, yes. We are open 365 days a year, and central New Jersey is our home territory, so a Thursday or Friday delivery during the NJEA break is often simple to add. Send your date early, because the four-day weekend is a popular time for birthdays.
Is there still time to book for the Halloween party weekend?
Often, yes. Central New Jersey has shorter lead times than the rest of our service area and late bookings are often possible, but October 24 and 25 fill early this year. Send your date and the number of children, or hold your date while you finish the guest list.
How many kids' chairs do I need?
Count the children who will sit, usually ages one to ten, and add two extra seats. Up to ten children fit at one long kids' table; ten to twenty work well in a row or U-shape; above twenty, split the tables by age.
Do you do the decorations or party styling?
No. We're not the party planners. We rent the kids' tables, chairs, high chairs and dessert carts, and we deliver, set up and pick them up. Decor, balloons and food come from your family or your planner.
