Shore house parties
Summer rentals are their own category. Three things worth knowing:
- Sand is the enemy of wheels. Tell us where we can park and how far the carry is. A hundred feet of soft sand changes the whole delivery.
- Decks over lawns. Most shore houses have a deck rather than a yard, and decks are excellent — level, contained, and usually shaded on one side. Give us the deck dimensions and the stair count.
- Wind. Constant at the shore. Skip paper backdrops, weight everything, and keep centerpieces low. Our balloon-free decor guide holds up better in a sea breeze than balloons do.
Most shore towns restrict or prohibit equipment on the beach itself, and several require a permit even for a small family gathering. Check with the borough before planning a beach setup — the usual outcome is that the party happens on the deck or at a pavilion, and the beach is where the kids go afterwards.
Backyard parties inland
Westfield, Summit, Cranford, Metuchen and East Brunswick backyards are the classic version of what we do: a side gate, a level lawn, one or two table groupings, done. The only detail we consistently need in advance is the gate width, because a few older properties in Westfield and Cranford have gates under 32 inches.

Timing
- June through August at the shore is the peak — book six weeks out for a Saturday.
- Inland spring and fall Saturdays want four to six weeks.
- Midweek and winter are usually available with a week or two of notice, and this is the area where we can most often accommodate a late booking.
What's included
- Delivery, setup and collection. We position and level the tables, arrange the chairs, and come back for everything after the party.
- Kid-height furniture. Chairs and tables scaled so children climb in unaided and their feet reach the floor — not scaled-down adult seating.
- Three collections. Essential, Classic and Atelier Rattan, so the furniture matches your palette rather than fighting it.
- Dessert carts as an add-on — usually the focal point of the party photos.
- Chairs-only if you want it. We work alongside whichever tent, catering or entertainment vendors you've already booked.
Booking checklist
- Date, start time and your access window.
- Number of children and their rough ages.
- Indoor, outdoor, or both — plus your rain plan.
- Delivery address, with stairs / elevator / gate width noted.
- Whether the building or venue needs a certificate of insurance.
- Your color palette or theme.
