Frequently Asked Questions

Mini Chairs Atelier · Updated August 2026

The twelve questions we're asked most often, answered properly.

How far in advance should I book?

Six to eight weeks for Saturdays in spring (April to June) and fall (September to November), and six weeks for summer shore weekends. Winter and midweek dates are usually available two to three weeks ahead. Thanksgiving and December dates book out by late October.

What areas do you deliver to?

New Jersey (Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Union, Essex, Bergen and Hudson counties), New York (Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester) and Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, the Main Line and Bucks County). If your town isn't listed, ask anyway — if we're running a route through your county that weekend, adding a stop is usually straightforward.

Is delivery and setup included?

Setup and collection are always included. That covers positioning and leveling the tables, arranging the chairs, and returning to collect everything after the party. Delivery itself is quoted on your specific address rather than a flat zone rate.

How many chairs and tables do I need?

One table with six to eight chairs suits a typical first or second birthday. For ten to fourteen children, two tables angled toward each other works better than one long table. Past fifteen, use three groupings plus a separate dessert cart. Remember every child brings at least one adult, so plan the space for the adult headcount.

Can I rent chairs without tables?

Yes. We're a chairs-only specialist, so you can book chairs alone, tables alone, or any combination, and we work alongside whichever tent, catering or entertainment vendors you've already booked.

Do you provide a certificate of insurance?

Yes. Many apartment buildings, condo boards, parish halls and rented venues require one naming them as additional insured. Ask for their exact requirements the day you book — processing commonly takes five to ten business days.

What if it rains?

Decide your plan B when you book rather than the night before. Our setup adapts to a garage, a covered patio or indoors with the tables shortened. What causes stress is deciding at 8am on party morning.

Are the chairs safe for toddlers?

Yes. They're built at children's height with a low center of gravity, so a two-year-old can climb in and out unassisted and their feet reach the floor. For ages one to two we also recommend keeping centerpieces low and glass off the children's table entirely.

Can you deliver to an apartment, walk-up or high-rise?

Yes. Our furniture is child-sized, so it fits through doorways and up staircases that standard banquet tables can't. Tell us the floor, whether there's an elevator, and any freight elevator restrictions when you book — it affects our timing window rather than the price.

What happens if something gets damaged?

Normal party wear is expected and not charged for. Talk to us if something significant happens — we'd rather hear about it than discover it, and we've never had a conversation about it go badly.

Do you style the table, or just drop the furniture?

We deliver, position and set up the furniture, and style the dessert cart if you've booked one. Table styling beyond that — runners, place cards, centerpieces — is usually the fun part for hosts, and our DIY tutorials cover the whole thing.

How do I get a quote?

Send us six things: date and start time, number of children and their ages, indoor or outdoor, the delivery address with any stairs or gate width noted, whether a certificate of insurance is needed, and your color palette. We usually confirm the same day.
