Kids' Party Chair & Table Rentals in Brooklyn

Mini Chairs Atelier · Updated August 2026

Brownstone gardens, third-floor walk-ups and rented party rooms — Brooklyn parties have their own logistics, and we plan for them.

Brooklyn is the hardest borough to rent party furniture into, and the reason is stairs. A brownstone garden party means carrying everything through a parlor floor and down a back staircase. A third-floor walk-up in Greenpoint means exactly what it sounds like. Most general rental companies quote you a flat rate and then discover the access problem on the day.

We ask about stairs before we quote, because for us it's a scheduling question rather than a pricing one — our furniture is child-sized, so it goes places banquet tables can't.

The three Brooklyn party setups

The brownstone garden

Our favorite, and the one that photographs best. Tell us the route — through the parlor floor and down, or through a shared alley — and the width of the narrowest doorway. Brooklyn gardens are often uneven brick or flagstone; we bring what we need to level a table on it. Space is usually the real constraint: a typical 20×40ft garden comfortably takes one kids' table of eight plus a dessert cart, not two tables.

The apartment or walk-up

Perfectly doable, and more common than you'd think. Give us the floor and whether there's an elevator. For a birthday in a one-bedroom, a single low table with six chairs against the longest wall works better than trying to center it — and it leaves a play lane for the kids. Our small-space party guide is built for exactly this.

The rented party room

Rec centers, synagogue and church halls, gymnastics studios and the party rooms in newer condo buildings. Two things to confirm with the venue before you book us: whether outside furniture is permitted, and your exact access window. A four-hour room booking beginning at 11am means we set up at 11, not 10 — so build the setup time into the party start.

Certificates of insurance

Most Brooklyn condo buildings and nearly every rented hall will ask for a COI naming the building as additional insured. Request the requirements the week you book, not the week of the party — buildings routinely take 5–10 business days to process one. We can supply it.

Parking, permits and timing

What's included

Booking checklist

  1. Date, start time and your access window.
  2. Number of children and their rough ages.
  3. Indoor, outdoor, or both — plus your rain plan.
  4. Delivery address, with stairs / elevator / gate width noted.
  5. Whether the building or venue needs a certificate of insurance.
  6. Your color palette or theme.

Send us those six things and we can usually confirm availability the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver kids' party rentals to Brooklyn?

Yes. We deliver, set up and collect children's chairs, tables and dessert carts throughout Brooklyn, including Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Ditmas Park, Bay Ridge, Midwood and Borough Park.

Can you deliver to a walk-up apartment or a brownstone garden?

Yes. Our furniture is child-sized, so it fits through doorways and up staircases that standard banquet tables cannot. Tell us the floor, whether there is an elevator, and the route to the garden when you book — it affects our timing window rather than the price.

Do Brooklyn buildings need a certificate of insurance?

Most condo buildings and nearly all rented halls require a COI naming the building as additional insured. Ask your building manager or venue for their requirements as soon as you book, since processing often takes five to ten business days. We can supply one.

How far in advance should I book a Brooklyn kids' party rental?

Six to eight weeks for Saturday mornings in spring and fall, which are the busiest slots in the borough. Winter dates and weekday parties are usually available two to three weeks ahead.

Can I set up kids' tables in Prospect Park?

NYC Parks requires a permit for organized gatherings with equipment, and rules vary by site and picnic area. Confirm your permit and what it allows before booking rentals, and let us know the access point for load-in.
