Kids' Party Chair & Table Rentals in Bergen & Essex County, NJ

Mini Chairs Atelier · Updated August 2026

A North Jersey parent's guide to renting children's party furniture — which towns we cover, what it costs, and the delivery details that trip people up.

Kids' party chairs and table delivered in North Jersey
A real party styled with Mini Chairs Atelier rentals.

Search "party rentals near me" in North Jersey and you'll get a wall of the same thing: 8-foot banquet tables, stacking resin chairs, and a 6ft-and-up world built for adults. Which is fine — until you're planning a party where the guests of honour are three feet tall.

Mini Chairs Atelier delivers kid-sized chairs, tables and dessert carts to Bergen and Essex County, NJ. Not scaled-down adult furniture. Not plastic. Real little chairs a two-year-old can climb into by herself, at a table height that means she isn't eating at eye level with her cake.

Here's what booking looks like in this corner of New Jersey — the towns we cover, what it costs, how delivery works on a Ridgewood side street versus a Montclair walk-up, and the details worth sorting out before you book anything.

Towns we deliver to in Bergen & Essex County

We run a regular route through North Jersey, so most of these are a standard delivery rather than a long-haul surcharge:

Bergen CountyEssex County
Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes, Paramus, Tenafly, Closter, Demarest, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Edgewater, Teaneck, Hackensack, Ridgefield, Montvale, Park Ridge, Mahwah, Ramsey, Oradell, River Edge, Fair Lawn, Rutherford Montclair, Glen Ridge, Millburn, Short Hills, Livingston, West Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Verona, Cedar Grove, Caldwell, North Caldwell, Essex Fells, Roseland, Nutley, Belleville, Bloomfield, Newark

Not on the list? Ask anyway. If we're already running a Saturday route through the county, adding a stop is usually easy.

Why a kids' rental is a different order to a standard party rental

The big rental yards are built around volume: tents, banquet seating, catering equipment. They're excellent at that. But there are three things they generally don't do, and all three matter at a children's party.

1. The scale is actually right

A standard "kids chair" from a general rental company is often a stacking chair with a 14–15" seat. Our chairs sit at children's height, paired with tables at the matching height. The practical effect: kids climb in and out on their own, feet reach the floor, and nobody spends the party lifting toddlers on and off adult seating. If you want the maths on quantities, we broke it down in how many kids' chairs and tables you need.

2. It photographs

This is not a vanity point — for most parents the party photos are the keepsake. Rattan, wood and cane finishes read warm on camera. Gray resin does not. If the tablescape is the backdrop for every photo you'll keep from your child's second birthday, the furniture is doing more work than it looks like it's doing.

3. Someone sets it up

We deliver, set up and collect. On a party day where you're also managing a cake, a bounce house window and eleven arriving families, this is the part people say they'd pay for twice.

Worth knowing

We are a chairs-only specialist, which means we work happily alongside whoever you've booked for tents, catering or entertainment. Planners in the area use us as an add-on partner rather than a replacement — more on that in why event planners love a chairs-only rental partner.

What it costs in Bergen & Essex County

Pricing is per set, with delivery and setup quoted on your address. As a planning benchmark for North Jersey:

Delivery logistics: North Jersey specifics

Bergen and Essex are not one delivery environment. They're several, and the difference changes what we need to know from you.

Suburban backyards (Ridgewood, Wyckoff, Livingston, Short Hills)

Usually the easiest. We need to know whether the setup is front-of-house or through a side gate, and roughly how wide that gate is. Gravel and soft lawn are fine; we bring what we need to level a table on grass.

Dense towns & older streets (Montclair, Maplewood, Hoboken-side Bergen, Fort Lee)

Street parking and stairs are the two variables. Tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator when you book — it changes our timing window, not the price. Montclair and Maplewood in particular have narrow driveways where a 20-minute unload slot matters.

Apartments & condos (Edgewater, Fort Lee, Newark, Harrison-adjacent)

Many buildings require a certificate of insurance and a booked freight elevator window. Ask your building manager for their COI requirements the week you book, not the week of the party — buildings routinely take 5–10 business days. We can supply one.

Parks & township facilities

Bergen and Essex both run county park systems with picnic areas that need a permit, and most township community centers have their own furniture rules and load-in doors. Confirm two things before you book us: whether outside furniture is allowed, and what your access window is. A four-hour room booking that starts at 11am means we set up at 11am, not 10.

Rain plan

North Jersey spring and fall parties get rained on. Decide your Plan B when you book, not the night before — garage, covered patio, or indoors with the tables shortened. Our setup adapts to either; what causes stress is deciding at 8am on party morning.

How far ahead to book

Weekends between April–June and September–November are the busy season in this area, and the first Saturday after a school holiday goes first. A rough guide:

If you're building your whole plan from scratch, our six-week party timeline sequences the rest of it — invites, cake, entertainment — around the rental booking.

Booking checklist for a North Jersey party

  1. Date, start time, and your access window (especially if it's a rented room).
  2. Headcount of children, and their rough ages — a table of 2-year-olds and a table of 6-year-olds are different setups.
  3. Indoor, outdoor, or both.
  4. Delivery address, plus stairs / elevator / gate width.
  5. Whether the building needs a certificate of insurance.
  6. Your color palette or theme, so we can match the collection. (Palette ideas here.)

Send us those six things and we can usually confirm availability the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Do you deliver to Bergen County and Essex County, NJ?

Yes. We deliver, set up and collect kids' party chairs, tables and dessert carts throughout Bergen and Essex County, including Ridgewood, Paramus, Tenafly, Fort Lee, Montclair, Millburn, Short Hills, Livingston, Maplewood and surrounding towns. Delivery is quoted on your address when you check availability.

How much does it cost to rent kids' party chairs and tables in North Jersey?

Pricing is per set, with delivery and setup quoted based on your address. A typical booking for a first or second birthday is one kids' table with six to eight chairs. Larger parties are usually priced as two or three smaller table groupings rather than one long table. Contact us with your date and headcount for an exact quote.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak Saturdays in spring (April to June) and fall (September to November), book six to eight weeks ahead. Winter dates and weekday parties are usually available two to three weeks out. Dates around major holidays book earliest.

Can you deliver to an apartment building or condo?

Yes. Many buildings in Edgewater, Fort Lee and Newark require a certificate of insurance and a reserved freight elevator window, so ask your building manager for their requirements as soon as you book. Buildings often take five to ten business days to process a COI, and we can supply one.

Do you set up the chairs and tables, or is it drop-off only?

Every rental includes delivery, setup and collection. We position and level the tables, arrange the chairs, and come back to collect after the party.

Can I rent just chairs without tables?

Yes. We are a chairs-only specialist, so you can rent chairs alone, tables alone, or any combination, and we work alongside whichever tent, catering or entertainment vendors you've already booked.
